The area south of the jetties. Seminole Road took one there. Now the Naval station and Hanns Park occupy it.

I believe Seminole Beach started at 16th Ave No. in Atlantic Beach and continued as Mr. Mabry stated. Prior to WWII my Dad's friend would land his plane on Seminole Beach early AM on Sun and off they would go. The pilot flew the Berma hump and later retired as an airline Capt. I also remember midget auto races being held as a child as well as skeeter races later.

I address this in my World's Finest Beach, a book found at http://historicaltextarchive.com/books.php?op=viewbook&bookid=70&pre=1 Do you find this valuable? |
