i remember myself and robert shearon trying to walk to the end of the jetties and back with nothing but our swim trunks and bare feet.by the time we got to the end the tide started coming in and covering the rocks.about a third of the way back our trunks were torn ,our feet were bleeding and lo and behold here came wimpy suttton in his motorboat. we yelled out and he spotted us and rescued us from our foolish adventure.he even bought us a coke.he had fun telling that one back in the classroom for many years.but robert and i were truly grateful....jim hayes 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Didn't we all try this, and without thinking about the tides? It just didn't look that far. Our group got rescued by a shrimp boat that came around to the lee side and told us to jump and they dragged us on board and took us to the beach. We were sure our MYF group would be worried about us. No, they had all gone home. So, tired, and wet and cold, we had a long walk to the nearest house with a phone. Amazing how clear that is after 55 years or so. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

We thought nothing bad could happen to us and, for the most part, we were right. Do you find this valuable?
